prospecting in NAN AO, metal detecting taiwan

This time , i have decided to have a go in east of taiwan, in Hualien County. i took the train early morning to NAN AO . i took the train in the early morning, my backpack ready, with all what i need for an afternoon of gold prospection with my fisher gold bug. it was a good journey but quiet long and not very confortable, nevertheless it was still a good day. the weather was grey, raining a bit but as soon as we arrived, it was more clear, a bit rainy with a lovely sun. as soon as we arrived at destination, we eat our brunch in a local stand ... not too bad then we rent some bicycles for the day. it costs us 100 nt$ per bike. we ask locals for the beach and they send us to the port ( 25min). it is a lovely place but not the kind of what iam looking for. here is what we discover.

like i said it is a beautifull little placebut not for  what i was looking for. so i use the gps on my phone to search for the hidden beach. the exact location is just behind the mountain you see on the picture above.
it was actually not far away from the train station, like 25 min ride. so we head back, passed through some field, plantations, discovering some amazing landscape and finally, here we are... a splendid beach. so now on, i can start prospecting.

the place is magical, and there is a river coming from the mountain to the sea. that is where i decided to use my metal detector. the soil wasn't so much polluated as in other area, but i was lacking of time as i neede to get back to taipei. in a hour of digging, i found a nice stone containing a large amount of silver. the stone might weight 45 gramm and is 7cm*2cm and 1cm large. so it wasnt a bad day.
while coming back on our bicycle, we passed close to a dry river... THAT is  my next SPOT. it looks very promising. i can smell it LOL
here are some pictures.
